About Canadian Diamonds

"Glacier Fire"
Truly Canadian Diamonds
From Crescent Gold and Diamonds

Canadian Diamonds Origin

Situated in the barren lands, 300kms northeast of Yellowknife, is the Diavik Diamond mine, Canada's anchor position as one of the world's leading diamond producing nations. The diamond rich pipes of the Diavik mine sit beneath the cold clear waters of Lac de Gras, getting to these pipes posed a challenge to engineers. They had to hold back the water by building a dike ensuring the pure water wasn't disturbed, in June 2002 the dike was completed.

Majority owner, Rio Tinto expects production at the Diavik mine to yield as much as six million carats per year and the quality of these stones are much higher than anticipated. Crescent Gold and Diamonds carry the exclusive collection of Canadian Diamonds called "Glacier Fire".

Mined & Cut in Canada

After extraction, from beneath the frozen earth's crust, these crystalline rough diamonds are documented and sent to Vancouver, B.C. for cutting and polishing to high exact standards.

Each finished "Glacier Fire" Canadian diamond, over .25 carat, is laser inscribed with the symbol of the Canadian Flag and issued its own unique serial number. The laser engraving on the edge of the girdle, is clearly visible when viewed through a jeweler's loop or a microscope.

Each of Crescent's Canadian diamonds comes with its own "Certificate of Authenticity" proudly identifying it as a true "Canadian" Diamond. These certificates verify their birthplace and describes the brilliance of each diamond that has been mined and cut in Canada. Each one of Crescent's "Glacier Fire" Canadian Diamonds has a unique Diamond Identification number. This registered number can be used to identify the diamonds qualifying factors and a way to trace the diamonds' original origin.

Crescent Gold and Diamonds sets Canadian diamonds in a variety of styles fashioned in gold and platinum settings. Many people today are purchasing Canadian diamonds through Crescent Gold and Diamonds for peace of mind and the satisfaction of knowing their Diamonds' true beginning.
