Diamonds, unlike other gemstones,
have the ability to produce the maximum amount of brilliance. A diamond that is free of
exterior and interior inclusions is of the highest quality because inclusions
do not interfere with the light passing though the diamond.
To determine a diamond's clarity, it is viewed under a 10x magnification by a trained eye.
Inclusions in a diamond are natural and considered to be nature's fingerprints on the
stone. The minute inclusions neither mar its beauty nor endanger its durability.
The ability to accurately assign a clarity grade to a diamond is very difficult. Because of
this, international grades have been established.
